Sales Tax & Import Duties

At River Minami, we ship our products worldwide from our studio in the United Kingdom. Because we ship internationally, tax and duty regulations vary by destination. Please review the policy for your region below.

United States (USA)

Service: Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) For all orders shipped to the USA, all applicable sales taxes and import duties are included in your total at checkout.

  • No hidden fees: Your order will delivered to your door without any additional charges or customs requests.

European Union (EU)

Service: Delivery Duty Unpaid (DDU) Since the UK is no longer part of the EU, all orders sent to EU countries are subject to local Sales Tax (VAT) and potential customs handling fees.

  • Payment: These charges are applied by your local customs office or postal service upon arrival in your country.

  • River Minami does not collect these fees at checkout; they are the legal responsibility of the recipient.

Rest of the World

For all other international destinations, the recipient is responsible for all import taxes, duties, and local fees as determined by their country's customs regulations.

1. Responsibility of the Recipient

By placing an order with River Minami, you acknowledge that you are responsible for any import fees applied by your country. We strongly recommend checking your local import regulations before placing an order if you are unsure of the potential costs.

2. Delays

We are not responsible for delays caused by customs clearance processes or postal service backlogs in the destination country.

3. Refused or Unclaimed Parcels

If a parcel is returned to us because customs fees were refused, unpaid, or the parcel was not collected from the local post office:

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable: The original cost of shipping the item to you will be deducted from your refund, as these funds have already been paid to the carrier.

  • Refund Processing: A refund for the cost of the goods will only be processed once the item is returned to our studio in its original, resalable condition.

  • Re-delivery: If you wish for the item to be sent again, a new shipping charge will apply.
