Hey there, and welcome to River Minami!

This journey started right out of my small studio at home in Bushey, England. I've always loved to sew, and three years ago, I launched River Minami on Etsy, fueled by a simple, pure love for natural fabrics and the quiet joy of creating. I truly love the luxurious feel of pure silk and crisp linen in my hands.

What began as a passion quickly turned into something incredible—thanks to a community of people like you who appreciate quality. After over 8,000 sales on Etsy, I knew it was time to build our own little home here, where we can share this beautiful collection with you directly and give it the attention it deserves.

 

The Story Behind River Minami

 

You might wonder about the name. River Minami is a little secret nod to the historical elegance of the "South of the River" in China—that famous, elegant Jiangnan region renowned for its incredible silk textile trade. This history is the perfect inspiration for the kind of timeless quality and beauty I want our accessories to embody.

 

My Promise: Handmade with Love, Sourced with High Standards

 

This is the important part: my shop is a mix of accessories that I genuinely pour my heart into sewing and pieces I meticulously seek out because they are just too beautiful to pass up. But whether it's made here or carefully chosen, it all starts with the fabric.

I am obsessed with quality, so I only source materials that meet the highest standards:

  • Silk: Exclusively 6A grade Mulberry silk—the best in the world—for unmatched softness and shine.

  • Linen & Cotton: We use premium bio-washed linen from Europe and beautiful Japanese cotton prints for ultimate comfort.

  • Liberty: Of course, we feature the iconic Liberty of London silk and Tana Lawn cotton you know and love!

Handmade by Me: When you choose from our wide range of accessories—including all comfort headbands, solid-coloured silk scarves, silk eyemasks, cotton-linen pieces, the chic Liberty silk twillies, and even our special Mulberry silk wedding hair ribbons—you know it was cut, sewn, and finished by me right here in Bushey, England. This is where the magic of handmade quality happens!

Carefully Curated: For our absolutely stunning printed silk scarves, I work with trusted suppliers who use eco-friendly dyes. I hand-pick these pieces based on my high standard for luxurious feel, weave, and unique design. They are chosen specifically because they offer that same incredible, timeless quality I want to bring to you.
