1. Sales Tax & Import Duties
Do I Have to Pay Customs Fees or Import Duties?
River Minami offers a Delivery Duty Paid (DDP) service for orders shipped to the USA. For US orders, all applicable sales tax, VAT, and import duties are included in your total at checkout, meaning your order will arrive without any additional charges.
For all other countries, the customer is responsible for any import taxes, customs duties, or local fees that may be applied by their customs office upon delivery.
We strongly recommend checking your local import regulations if you’re unsure about potential charges before placing an order.
2. Shipping & Dispatch
What shipping methods do you use?

UK Orders: Orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 services (estimated 2-3 working days) and are fully tracked. 
- 
International Orders: Depending on the item and destination, orders are shipped using either Royal Mail International Standard or Royal Mail Tracked services (estimated 1-3 weeks, depending on the destination). 
Do you offer tracking?

All UK orders are fully tracked via Royal Mail Tracked 48. 
- 
The International Standard service does not include tracking. 
- 
The International Tracked service provides full delivery updates. 
When Will My Order Be Dispatched?
We have different dispatch times based on whether your item is ready-made or handmade:
- 
Ready-Printed Silk Scarves: These are pre-made and will be dispatched within 2 working days. 
- 
Handmade Items (Twilies, Headbands, Eye Masks, etc.): Please allow 2-3 working days for your piece to be lovingly crafted before it is dispatched.

3. Return Policy
What is your return policy?
We have a 14-day return policy. This means you have 14 days after receiving your item to request a return or exchange.
Who covers the return postage?
As a small business, we are unable to cover the cost of return postage for simple returns or exchanges. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
However, if you receive a faulty or damaged product, we will gladly cover the return postage cost and ensure you receive a replacement or full refund.
Do you extend returns for the Christmas period?
Yes! We extend our returns period following Christmas to 28 days to make holiday gifting easier.
